Set against the backdrop of the Colorado Rockies the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo has over 500 animals encompassing 146 species. The zoo also has more than 25 endangered species on exhibit, including the Mexican wolf, the Siberian tiger and the black-footed ferret. Of course all of the regular favorites such as lions, tigers, elephants and giraffes are on display as well.
